Annual Star-Studded Event to Bring Thousands Together On Super Bowl Eve In An Effort to Kick Hunger and Raise Funds For Foodbanks Nationwide

On Saturday, February 2, Taste of the NFLwill host its 28th Annual Party with a Purpose® at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta. The annual strolling food and wine fundraising event, which is Super Bowl Weekend’s largest NFL sanctioned charitable event, brings together exceptional cuisine, celebrities, NFL players and alumni, and more to help fight hunger in the US and benefit food banks in 32 NFL cities nationwide.

 

WHO:                    On the eve of Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta, thirty-two of the nation’s top chefs from each NFL city will pair up with current and former players from each team to support hunger relief. This year’s festivities will include a special performance by country music legend, Martina McBride, as well as appearances by award-winning TV personality, chef, writer and teacher, Andrew Zimmern, amongst others.

WHAT:                  Taste of the NFL, the premiere sanctioned Super Bowl event dedicated to ending hunger in the United States, proudly welcomes top talent from around the nation at the 28th Annual Party with a Purpose®.  The annual star-studded food, football and charity tasting event is attended by more than 2,500 guests each year.

 

At the event, current, Hall of Fame and alumni NFL players from all 32 teams are paired with extraordinary chefs from across the country as they prepare more than 45,000 tastings for guests in attendance. In addition to seeing special celebrity appearances throughout the evening and tasting exceptional cuisine, guests will also have the opportunity to bid on more than 250 unique sports and celebrity memorabilia, vacation and culinary packages, as well as other coveted auction items, including Super Bowl game tickets.

 

100% of proceeds raised at Party with a Purpose® (and throughout the season-long Kick Hunger Challenge) will go directly back to each team’s hometown community, supporting food banks and pantries in all 32 cities. Since its inception, Taste of the NFL has provided more than 220 million meals for Americans around the country - many of them children and seniors in need - who have turned to their local food banks for assistance.

The Kick Hunger Challenge is an online-only fundraising campaign spearheaded by Taste of the NFL. This friendly “competition” pits fans from all 32 NFL teams against each other to raise money for food banks in NFL communities nationwide. Throughout the 2018 football season, and through Super Bowl Weekend, fans have the opportunity to support one of the 32 NFL teams and directly impact the donation of thousands of meals to food banks in their team’s community.
