D'Amato represented the Green Bay Packers at the Taste of the NFL "Party with a Purpose®" for several years. Aprahamian continues the tradition (shown at right with player representative Donny Anderson). The annual "Party with a Purpose®", now in its 24th year, is held on the eve of the Super Bowl in or near the city where the Super Bowl is held. The strolling food event pairs a chef and a player from each of the NFL cities. The more than 3,000 guests in attendance have the opportunity to sample amazing food while meeting current and past NFL greats and seeing big-name entertainment. All proceeds go to fight hunger.
