Morten Andersen (shown below with New Orleans Chef representative Tory McPhail) played for six NFL teams during his career as a kicker, including the team he will represent at Taste of the NFL—the New Orleans Saints. We posted this profile of Andersen last year and have since caught up with him to learn a little more about his excitement for TNFL this year in New Orleans.
Q: What have you been up to following your football career?

Q: After playing football for so long, and with so many teams, who do you enjoy watching the most?
A: I just enjoy watching the games as a fan now. I obviously follow the teams that I played for, especially New Orleans and Atlanta.
Q: Which teams have a shot at making it to the Super Bowl this year?
A: Atlanta, Baltimore, Houston and the 49er’s.
Q: What are you looking forward to with the Super Bowl being held in New Orleans?
A: It is just a great place to have the Super Bowl. The hospitality of the people of New Orleans, the food and the music—it’s an easygoing way of life down there.
Q: How did you get involved with Taste of the NFL?
A: I heard about it from other players and a couple of my chef friends in New Orleans and Atlanta.
Q: What do you enjoy the most about being involved with Taste of the NFL?
A: It has a great vibe and everyone is so positive and genuine. I get the feeling that everyone really wants to help and make a difference for others in need.
Q: Why should fans attend Taste of the NFL in New Orleans this year?
A: Taste of the NFL in New Orleans will be the most fun event of the week and it has a purpose that resonates with everyone. It is the biggest win-win event of the year.
