The 14th Annual Taste of the Browns event was a huge success last month in Cleveland, raising $168,218 for the Cleveland Foodbank. Five-time Pro Bowl offensive lineman Joe Thomas and former defensive lineman Al “Bubba” Baker were the honorary co-chairs of this event which boasted an impressive guest list including quarterback Colt McCoy. Over 25 Cleveland-area restaurants were represented at the event with dishes ranging from braised beef shin to lobster rolls. The silent auction was also a success as guests bid on items including a washer/dryer combo and a suite at the Browns vs. Bengals game. Overall, the money raised from this event equates to thousands of nutritious meals for children and families in Northeast Ohio, where 34 percent of meals served go to children under the age of 18. Nice job, Cleveland!
