Renowned ESPN Journalist and Host of Monday Night Countdown Joins Effort to Kick Hunger and Raise Funds For Foodbanks Nationwide at the Cobb Galleria Centre on Saturday, February 2

Minneapolis, Minnesota, January 22, 2019 – Today, Taste of the NFL announced that Suzy Kolber, celebrated NFL journalist and ESPN host of “Monday Night Countdown” will appear at its 28th annual Party with a Purpose, taking place on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta. Kolber will be on site at the fundraising event to greet guests, take photographs and sign autographs. Additionally, guests at the annual strolling food and wine event, which brings together chefs and NFL players to benefit food banks in 32 NFL cities nationwide, will have the opportunity to win a diamond necklace from Continental Diamond, as well as Super Bowl game tickets.

Kolber, who originally joined ESPN in 1993 and has remained a mainstay for the network’s NFL coverage, is the host of “Monday Night Countdown,” as well as MNF halftime and postgame. She is also the host of “NFL Live” and plays a prominent role in ESPN’s Super Bowl week and NFL Draft coverage. For more than two decades, Kolber has remained a key presence at NFL primetime games around the nation and has received tremendous acclaim from the industry and fans, alike, for elevating NFL sideline reporting and what at-home viewers have come to expect of it. She is the first-ever female recipient to receive the Maxwell Football Club’s Sports Broadcaster of the Year Award and, in 2004, she was named to Sports Business Daily’s list of the 10 favorite sports TV personalities of the past 10 years.

“The opportunity to include Suzy Kolber in this year’s Party with a Purpose was a no brainer for our team and we are thrilled that she’ll be joining us to not only kick hunger in America, but also meet some of her longest standing fans from over the years," said Wayne Kostroski, Taste of the NFL Founder. "We are so grateful to Suzy and her team for their ongoing support of Taste of the NFL.”

Guests at Party with a Purpose will be able to meet Kolber at the Continental Diamond Station, where they can also view the 14-carat white gold diamond necklace, which has been generously donated by Continental Diamond. The necklace features 3.10-carat total weight diamonds and a 13mm South Sea cultured, detachable pearl drop. At the Continental Diamond Station, Kolber will be joined by NFL player alums, Will Witherspoon and Bryan Walters, providing attendees with more opportunities to meet some of their favorite players in-person.

“We at Continental Diamond are again proud to contribute to the successful efforts of the Minnesota-based Taste of the NFL team to raise awareness and dollars for hunger relief,” said Helain Pesis, co-owner of Continental Diamond.

Highlights of this year’s Party with a Purpose include a special appearance by award-winning TV personality, chef, writer and teacher, Andrew Zimmern, as well as enter a silent auction with unique sports memorabilia, exciting travel opportunities, and culinary packages, and more. Entertainment for the evening will be provided by award-winning country superstar, Martina McBride.
