Miss America To Help Host Taste Of The NFL’s Super Bowl Fundraising Party
Miss America 2013 Mallory Hagan joins effort to kick hunger and raise funds for food banks nationwide.
Making one of her first public appearances in her new reign, Miss America 2013 Mallory Hagan will attend Taste of the NFL’s 22nd annual Super Bowl fundraising event taking place Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans . Also known as “The Party with a Purpose,®” the annual strolling food and wine event pairs chefs and NFL players representing each NFL team and benefits food banks in NFL cities nationwide. Miss America 2013 Mallory Hagan will be onsite at Taste of the NFL’s Feb. 2 event to welcome guests, pose for photos and sign autographs. Miss New York, Hagan was crowned Miss America on Saturday, Jan. 12 at the 92nd Annual Miss America Competition in Las Vegas. She is a student at The Fashion Institute of Technology. During her year as Miss America she will serve as spokesperson for Education and focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Education and Mathematics) this year as she travels to Washington, DC to work with the Department of Education. Miss America will help to raise additional dollars for hunger relief by wearing a 14K White Gold Pave Diamond Necklace that is part of the evening’s raffle along with a pair of game tickets.
