My name is Louis Kurz. I was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. I got most of my culinary inspiration from my grandmother as I would help in the kitchen at an early age. I went to culinary school at a community college in Jacksonville (FSCJ).
In 2009, I moved to New York City to better my career. There, I was sous chef at A Voce (Michelin Star) under James Beard award winning chef Missy Robbins. Six years later, I moved back to Jacksonville to work at Blacksheep with Chef Waylon Rivers. I’ve been there since and now have taken over as executive chef.
