Richard Marshall was selected in the second round (58th overall) of the 2006 college draft. Marshall made his first career start at cornerback versus New Orleans (10/1/06) and posted a team-high 12 tackles, one fumble recovery and one pass defensed. In 2006, he tied with Chris Gamble and Ken Lucas for team lead with three interceptions, led the team in passes defensed and ranked third among defensive backs in tackles. Marshall recorded his first career interception versus Cleveland (10/8/06) when he picked off Browns quarterback Charlie Frye in the first quarter and returned it 30-yards for a touchdown. He appeared in all 16 games with eight starts in 2006. |
