Marc Payero, Executive Chef/Director for Restaurant Associates, is currently the Executive Chef at the Huddle Café located at the NFL’s corporate office in NYC.
Restaurant Associates, a sector of Compass Group North America, is recognized as the nation’s premier foodservice, restaurant and catering company, operating in over 150 prestigious locations. Restaurant Associates, based in New York City, provides premium food services to a variety of industries including Cultural Centers, publishing and media, advertising, banking and law firms. Restaurant Associates is also the premier foodservice provider for the U.S. House of Representatives, the World Bank and the Capitol building in Washington D.C.
Marc is a graduate of the Art Institute of NYC and continues his work with the institution by providing Externship opportunities. He believes that giving students a “real” outlook to what the industry provides is imperative, because “TV has taken our industry to a new and exciting level, but fails to expose the real challenges we face on a daily basis”. His passion for the industry started at a young age while he was bussing tables during his summer vacation at a restaurant in Queens, NY. “I enjoyed being a bus boy, but there was nothing more exciting then being asked to get into the kitchen to bread chicken and mix cornbread”.
This will be the second year that Marc represents the NFL League office.
