Brig Owens

Brig Owens was a seven-year player representative and a defensive captain for the Washington Redskins. After being drafted by the Cowboys in 1965, Brig was traded to the Redskins in 1966 to begin his 12-year career as a Redskins defensive back. He is second in the Redskins career record for most passes intercepted (36), first in most yards on interception returns (686) and first for most interceptions and touchdowns. Brig founded Brig Owens & Associates, a firm that provides comprehensive career management services for the professional athlete. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati and Antioch Law School, he is now a partner in the sports management firm of Bennett & Owens.
