
Taste of the NFL Chef Named Beard Foundation Winner
Chef Lachlan McKinnon-Patterson, representing the Denver Broncos at the "Taste of the NFL" Super Bowl event has won a Super Bowl of another kind. McKinnon-Patterson was recently awarded "Best Chef: Southwest" by the James Beard Foundation. This award is often referred to as “the Oscars of the food world.” Chef-owner of Frasca Food and Wine in Boulder, CO McKinnon-Patterson has accumulated numerous accolades during his career including being named one of Food and Wine Magazine's Best New Chefs in 2005.
Eight NFL teams held local "Taste of the NFL" events in 2007, raising more than $1.1 million to help tackle hunger in their communities. This year, the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the Green Bay Packers and the Carolina Panthers are joining the Bengals, Browns, Cowboys, Giants, Jaguars, Jets, Rams and Vikings in this effort.
